My first time on the golf course before it was officially JWGC was during my pre university days where I would sit under a tree and study and hide my cigarettes from my uncle who would be playing golf (where the third hole is now). I got very inquisitive about golf when my uncle asked me to bring a golf tee during my visit to Singapore in 1982. Much later, I started playing golf regularly from 1999.

Having never been a serious sportsperson other than playing cricket for fun, this game has taught me some much needed patience, discipline and the importance of fitness. During my time playing golf, I have won a couple of trophies and I have 2 hole-in-ones.

I have made great friends both young and old on the golf course who have also taught me valuable life lessons. To me, golf is a way of life now.
